We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As a Restaurant Manager, you will ensure high-quality food and service, manage staff, maintain inventory and budget, and comply with health and safety regulations. You will also be involved in hiring, training, and evaluating employees and handling customer feedback and complaints.
To be successful as a Restaurant Manager, you should have previous experience in the hospitality industry, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for customer satisfaction. You should also be able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and solve problems effectively. You must have a valid class 5 driver's license (or equivalent), and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The demand for candidates in the business is dependent on the seasonal increase of local tourism.
Duties and Expectations:
- Plan & execute dining service with team members
- Ensure communication between all front-of-house staff
- Uphold high standards of service
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation practices for dining service
- Hiring, Scheduling, Coaching, & mentoring of floor staff
- Create and execute bar menus, including ordering and tracking inventory.
- Create great guest experiences
- Close or Open the restaurant to standards set out by management.
- Handle cash transactions
- Basic level accounting
- Cash reconciliation
