Description:

A prep cook is an entry-level position in a kitchen that assists the chef and other staff with preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various recipes
  • Following the chef's instructions and recipes to prepare sauces, salads, soups, and other dishes
  • Storing and labeling food items in the appropriate containers and refrigerators
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, and floors
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards and regulations
  • Receiving delivery orders

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle dough and tools
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
