Job Overview

Assist Mine site Controller as required.

·         Gather and compile financial and operational data.

·         Assist with analysis of financial and operational information.

·         Proactively engage in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, trend analysis, and strategic business planning for the mines.

·         Aid in monthly reporting, including variance to budget and forecasts.

·         Prepare fixed asset reporting schedules monthly and monitor capital expenditure and the AFE process.

·         Assist the Accounting & Reporting Function with financial analysis and reporting to stakeholders. Comply with all of the HR, safety, technical, environmental, operating, and business systems.

·         Ensure compliance with relevant systems and provide governance for system optimization and consistency.

·         Participate in budget preparation and monthly forecasting; work with managers and their teams to finalize reports and resolve issues.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Finance or Accounting.

·         2 to 3 years' experience in general or cost accounting.

·         Experience with Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·         Mine experience beneficial

·         Experience with Pronto an asset

·         Strong Microsoft Office skills

·         Experience with project costing or cost accounting.
