ACFA Jasper Regional Association

The Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta (ACFA) – Jasper Regional Branch is looking for a dynamic, organized, and passionate individual committed to the Francophone community to fill the position of Executive Director.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the daily management of the regional office and actively contributes to the vitality of Jasper’s Francophone community.

Main Responsibilities

Management and Planning

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate all annual events, activities, and training sessions.
  • Draft and manage contracts (artists, instructors, facilitators, service providers, etc.).
  • Recruit, supervise, and support employees, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain updated mailing lists, membership, and partner databases.

Communications and Outreach

  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with community, institutional, and government partners.
  • Prepare and send a monthly newsletter to members.
  • Manage ACFA’s social media presence and update the website.
  • Promote membership and volunteer engagement within the community.

Administration and Governance

  • Draft meeting agendas and support the Chair for Board of Directors meetings.
  • Write activity reports, the annual report, and results reports for funders (including Canadian Heritage).
  • Manage monthly accounting, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure budget tracking.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget.

Funding and Grants

  • Write and submit grant applications.

Representation and Participation

  • Actively participate in provincial events such as Franco-Réseau, the Community Forum, and the Annual Congress of the ACFA Provincial Association.
  • Represent the Jasper Regional Branch with partners, organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Board of Directors.

Desired Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in project management, event coordination, and administration.
  • Knowledge of the Francophone community sector (an asset).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Proficiency with office software and digital communication tools.
  • Experience in budget management and grant writing (a major asset).
