Job Overview

•     Prepare and cook menu items according to Olive Bistro’s recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
•     Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, following all food safety and sanitation regulations
•     Assist with prep work, portioning, and daily mise en place to ensure smooth service
•     Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory levels, communicating needs proactively
•     Collaborate with the kitchen team to support efficient service during peak periods
•     Follow proper storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO)
•     Support menu changes, specials, and seasonal offerings
•     Uphold Olive Bistro’s values of hospitality, consistency, and guest‑focused service

Job Requirements

•     Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or equivalent culinary training
•     Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen procedures
•     Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines consistently
•     Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy
•     Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and peak‑season shifts
•     Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot conditions
•     Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach
•     Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace

•     Food Safe certification is an asset
