Job Details:

Duties, tasks and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook full course meals and individual dishes with modifications as requested
  • Responsible for smooth delivery of meals to dining guests, keeping food quality and consistency in line with Alberta Food Safety and Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant standards.
  • Maintain quality and speed of output
  • Prepares each item on menus according to recipes and instruction
  • Follow proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Communicate clearly with co-workers and leadership team to ensure a smooth food service operation is achieved
  • Adherence to cost control guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in restaurant kitchen is required
  • Previous experience in high volume fine dining kitchen an asset
  • Able to adapt to early morning shift start times
  • Multi-tasked assignments and work effectively as a team member as well as by themselves
  • Work well under pressure and challenging situations
  • Maintaining high standards of productivity and efficiency in the kitchen
  • Punctual
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use stairs; stools; lift a max.  of 50lbs; able to with-stand hot temperatures.
