Description:

A barista is a person who prepares and serves coffee and other hot or cold beverages to customers. A barista's role is to ensure that customers receive high-quality drinks and a friendly service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order taking and payment processing
  • Coffee bean grinding, brewing, and steaming
  • Coffee drink preparation and serving
  • Work area and equipment cleaning and sanitizing
  • Health and safety standards and procedures compliance
  • Product information and recommendations provision
  • Customer complaints and feedback handling
  • Receiving delivery orders

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Passion for coffee and customer service
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Food Safe Certificate an asset
